Founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, Zenith is widely renowned as being one of Switzerland’s most prominent and advanced watchmakers. The manufacture’s most significant creation, El Primero, begun life in 1959. Ten years of research and development to produce what is still to this day widely accepted to be the most accurate timekeeping chronograph movement, saw production begin in 1969. The success of the El Primero movement saw Rolex using the movement in its legendary Daytona from 1988-2000, further confirming the Zenith brand's luxury status.
