Founded by brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume in 1830, Baume & Mercier has a rich history beginning in the famed Jura region of Switzerland. The manufacturer's expansion and establishment of a London atelier saw the brand achieve success as the 19th century drew on. By the 1920's, Baume & Mercier had earned a reputation for the production of its elegant and unusual timepieces going on to later produce a range of sought after chronographs.
Whilst known initially for its dress watch offering, the 1970s saw Baume & Mercier expanding its offering with the now instantly recognisable 'Riviera' collection of steel sports watches. A 2016 partnership with legendary American motorsport manufacturer Caroll Shelby International has widened Baume's offering into the luxury sports watch market.
