The Andrew Grima Collection

This completely exclusive collection of jewels was the property of the late Michel Roux, the famous Michelin starred chef, and have been consigned directly by his family.

Michel Roux and Andrew Grima enjoyed a long friendship dating back to the 1970s and had a mutual appreciation of each others work. The friendship resulted in a number of jewellery purchases and special commission pieces, some of which are included in this collection.

Known as 'the father of modern jewellery', Andrew Grima was a renowned jeweller to many huge stars and also the Royal family; indeed, his work features in many public and private collections around the world.

The following jade and opal pendant was commisioned in 1987 from Andrew Grima by Michel Roux and is set with a beautiful Mexican opal in an 18ct gold frame with diamonds set to the top and the bottom. The piece is being sold with the original hand-drawn design by Andrew Grima, and this extraordinary design is also signed.

Another of the beautiful pieces within this collection is a wonderful necklace which is set with a lovely 18ct gold feather, and full of diamonds. This piece is very typical of Andrew Grima's modernist style, whilst also incorporatig a naturalist theme.

Also within this wonderful collection is a stunning tourmaline and diamond ring of very typical Grima design. Michel Roux purchased this piece for his wife who wore it many a times; a much beloved part of her collection.
