A Victorian demi-parure in high carat yellow gold (tested) set with red garnets, turquoise and pearls, circa 1840; comprising a necklace with three oval foil-backed faceted garnets, each flanked by turquoise cabochon highlights, set in filigree mounts with scrolling and granulation details, interspersed by turquoise and split pearl quatrefoil clusters, attached to a four-row belcher chain with floral engraved terminations, completed with a conforming box clasp, measures 42.0 cm in length; suspending a detachable drop pendant in girandole style, featuring a larger oval and pear-shaped foil-backed garnets in elaborated scrollwork surround further set with turquoise and split pearls, tassels dangling on the sides, approximately measures 5.5 cm; accompanied by a pair of matching drop earrings, each with pear-shaped foil-backed garnet, multi-shaped turquoise cabochons and split pearls, to shepherd's crook fittings, drop length measures 4.3 cm. Cased in a tooled fitted box.
