A very rare 1964 Omega Speedmaster reference 105.003-64 'Ed White' stainless steel chronograph wristwatch, the matte black dial with luminous Tritium baton hour markers and white hands, and a fifths of seconds track, three dials for seconds, 30-minute and 12-hour registers, marked 'T Swiss Made T' with black tachymeter bezel, in a stainless steel case, the case back with engraved Omega Hippocampus. The mechanical hand wound 17 jewel cal. 321 movement numbered 22089745, with original antimagnetic dust cap. The case back stamped S 105.003-64. On a later leather strap. 40 mm case.

Note: The Omega Speedmaster reference 105.003 was the first reference that underwent the rigorous NASA testing in late 1964, and eventually became approved on March 1st, 1965. It was dubbed the Ed White after the first American astronaut who walked in space, and the popularity of the watch among astronauts on the Gemini missions. The reference 105.003 is also notable as the last of the Speedmaster 'Pre-Professional' models. The present watch is the rarest version of this reference '-64', rather than the more common '-65'.

The watch winds, sets and runs.

Some wear to the bezel, scratches to the glass, small marks and scratches to the case commensurate with age, no significant damage.

Chronograph buttons work correctly, minutes and seconds hands reset to the 12 o’clock position – minutes elapsed resets to just very slightly to the left of vertical, seconds elapsed resets to vertical.

Minutes elapsed hand advances correctly.
