A George IV fine silver coffee pot on conforming stand, London 1822 by Edward Farrell, the chased and embossed decoration in the manner of David Teniers, depicting soldiers on horseback beating back revellers outside a tavern, (the opposing scene a figure leading a donkey draped with an unconscious figure), the figural finial over wooden handle and the spout emerging from the mouth of a stylised lion, on four lion masked feet, the stand with mask and foliate pierced decoration, on three dolphin and leaf-formed feet, 37 cm full height x 21.5 cm wide, 59 ozt. combined weight.

Provenance: Deceased Maidenhead estate (private owner).

Condition Report

In very good overall condition with no apparent damage or repair. Finial sitting a little unevenly. Light surface scratches visible to flat surfaces. Dent / indentation to the underside of coffee pot base. No spirit burner present.
