A Late Victorian novelty silver toast rack, London 1899 Hukin & Heath (John Thomas Heath & John Hartshorne Middleton) subsequently Hukin & Heath Ltd., the bars forming the word 'TOAST' on a lozenge-shaped base with curved terminals and bun feet, patent number 249288; 15.5cm length, 211.5 grams (6.8ozt).

Condition Report

The toast rack is in good condition. The base and the rack are hallmarked, It is quite tarnished, but there are no repairs. There is a slight depression to one side by the letter A but this could be straightened out easily. There are superficial surface scratches as would be expected with age and use, but these are fairly light.
