An Early-19th century chrysoberyl parure comprising a rivière necklace with cruciform pendant, girandole earrings and a buckle; the necklace is composed of thirty-four graduated oval-cut chrysoberyl in closed-back cut-down collets, completed with a concealed box clasp, suspending a detachable cruciform pendant, pendant drop length 6.0 cm, overall length 37.0 cm; the conforming earrings of pendeloque form with granulation details, fitted with back-to-front wires, drop length 5.2 cm; together with a buckle, collet-set with sixteen oval-cut chrysoberyl in a scrollwork mount, 9.0 cm long; unmarked pink metal testing 14ct; in a later fitted case, accompanying plaque stating them to be a wedding gift for Jane Kerr, a British heiress and socialite, from Sir Humphrey Davy on the occasion of his wedding in 1812; along with four extra links for the necklace, and thirteen loose faceted chrysoberyls in various sizes and shapes.
