An early 20th century (circa 1915-20) hand-pulled three-wheel milk cart, a barn find, with painted branding for 'Higgins Bros. Dairies', of 133-157 Kilburn Lane, Willesden, the upper section with crate rails over a canopy, the interior section with further rails and a lower storage box, the iron-mounted wheels bearing a maker's name of 'Reed & Son Builders, Paddington', 151 cm high x 134 cm deep x 96 cm wide.
Private collection, found in a barn and untouched for many years. Higgins Bros. Dairies were established in the 1850s, when the area was still relatively rural, and existed for around 100 years under various guises. The site where it was located is now offices, called 'Old Dairy House'.
