David Norrie of Leith a Scottish George III Mahogany 8-day Longcase clock, with swan neck pediment, the single piece brass arched dial with painted moon phase complication to the arch, the four pillar movement chiming the hours and halves on a single bell., the case with a concave topped long trunk door flanked by 1/4 pilasters, supported on shaped bracket feet. 45 cm wide x 213 cm overall height.

David Norrie is recorded as working on New Quay, Leith between 1787-1801, on his death his business was continued by his widow. See page 574, Loomes, Brian, Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World, 21st-century edition, page 574.
