Private collection, from the estate of the late Irving Goodman. He and Sandra Blow were working at the Royal College of Art together in the 1960s and had a personal relationship. Following them splitting up, Sandra Blow gave Irving the painting as a result of this relationship. It had been on display in the family home ever since.
