This sale is the first part of the Trevor Hughes vinyl collection, and will feature well over 10,000 individual records, all to be sold without reserve.
The late Trevor Hughes, was a record collector and lover of rock, and was widely known across the North West for his regular vinyl sales at the Bluecoat in Liverpool, as well as running his own shop on the Wirral. It was a collection that was formed over a lifetime of passion for music, particularly that of the psychedelic and prog rock genres. Trevor's collection began to take shape following a stint touring with his rock idols, Hawkwind, where he spent his time interviewing the band and selling merchandise, eventually building up a large following.
We have catalogued this collection using a similar method to Trevor, with lots made up of individual artists, genres, as well as some in alphabetical order. Additional lots will be added to the catalogue in the weeks leading up to sale, and will include photographs of both the front and back covers of each record (where possible), so please keep checking back for these new lots.
Led Zeppelin Volume 3
Given the number of records involved, and the interest we expect there to be in the sale, completing detailed condition reports may not always be possible. As you will see from the online photos, the majority of the record sleeves have Trevor’s own stock labels attached, and as a general rule, the condition of all the records is ‘used’. Whilst we will endeavour to answer all general enquiries, individual requests about specific records may not be answered, depending on the quantity we receive.
