Bob Dylan – ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’ Album, Signed
A 1964 album signed by Bob Dylan while he stayed at Foreland Farm, Isle of Wight, for the 1969 Isle of Wight Festival. The reverse of the album cover bears Dylan’s signature in black ink, inscribed as a personal favour for the vendor, a devoted Dylan fan.
The vendor recalls living close to Foreland Farm, where Dylan stayed during the festival. Incredibly, this farm became a hub for musical collaboration, with Dylan, George Harrison, John Lennon, and Ringo Starr jamming together in an impromptu studio, which was set up in a nearby barn.
The lot is accompanied by a rare photograph depicting Bob Dylan and George Harrison playing tennis together during their stay at the farm. This snapshot captures a candid moment between two legendary musicians, adding to the lot’s unique appeal.
The album, known for its titular anthem of change, remains one of Dylan’s most iconic works and a symbol of the 1960s folk music movement. The vendor, who had regular encounters with Dylan and the Beatles during this time, provides a personal connection to this extraordinary item.
Estimate £2,000-£3,000
