Manner of Michael Dahl (1659-1743), a very large full-length portrait of woman, seated beside a large floral display, a bird perched on her left hand, oil on canvas, probably 19th century, 113 cm x 130 cm in a shaped, giltwood frame (later name plate added).

Private collection, bought in the 1980s from an art dealership. No further history (written or other) available.

Condition Report

Appears to have been re-lined, with cleaning and possible re-touching in places. Evidence of repair to the canvas verso (see image). Surface cracking evident on lighter coloured areas. Frame generally good, with signs of wear commensurate with age.
