A George III oak pot board dresser and Delft rack, the moulded cornice over three shelves with hooks, the dresser with three frieze drawers and ogee arches on chamfered square legs joined by a planked pot board, 160 cm wide, 208 cm high, 43 cm deep

Sold for £500

Condition Report

Generally good a good honest item of good colour.
The handles are old replacements

The legs extend through the pot board as they should.

The backboards don't go all the way down to the base by about an inch but this is because the rack fits into the sledge supports that are fixed to the top of the base, it looks to be right enough though but often racks were added later.

Overall it has a nice typically "Gingerey" tone that has mellowed.

The top of the base has some historic shakes/cracks from shrinkage.

The rack boards are pitsawn oak and the bottom sections backboard is pine.
