Breitling was founded in Saint-Imer in 1884 and is renowned for its precision made aviation chronometers. By the beginning of the 20th century Leon Breitling had set the benchmark for chronograph watches being coveted among sports people from athletes to aviators. The 1950s saw Breitling develop what are some of its best known designs such as the SuperOcean, Navitimer and Co-Pilot.
The next decades saw further innovation and a commitment to development resulting in the widely popular Chronomat and Aerospace chronograph colections. As with all Breitling watches, these further established the brands reputation for producing high quality, precision instruments. The brand has enjoyed a large number of colaborations over its history including with Bentley for its Le Mans campaign, the James Bond franchise, and various flight teams among others.
