Lajos Mack for Zsolnay, an early 20th-century iridescent ceramic 'Mermaid' vase, shape number 6108, with two art nouveau-style mermaids forming the handles, lozenge stamp to the base, 20 cm high x 23 cm wide.

Condition Report
The former report mentioned professional restoration to the foot rim, I have checked the area to ascertain the extent of said restoration but have found the glazed area to be fully vitrified and the foot rim un-restored, I can see some marks of kiln debris and discolouration to the edge of the footrim that could account for the former report. However, the external face of the foot rim shows a small shell chip and signs of a broad but captive shell chip with a short crack running from its edge but confined to the edge of the foot. 
The body shows some very small areas of glaze loss.
